Your old mate notes the part-time Member of Parliament for North Korea – sorry, Northland -- Winston Peters, has got his knickers in a knot...
He is upset over his no-show on the farm in his electorate where Primary Industries Minister Nathan Guy officially declared the region to be in drought. Apparently, Peters – who has been living off the taxpayer for at least 40 years – was most upset that he missed the memo from Guy’s office telling the where and when of the event, and he failed to front. But as a mate of the Hound says, if Peters spent more time in Northland and less in Auckland and Wellington’s late-night bars, he may have been better placed to attend.
